1. What kinds of things do people in your country often buy from online shops?

I don't think there is a specific type of product that people will buy online. They can buy pretty much anything and everything. Recently, my mother bought some washing-up gloves, some new bathroom scales and one of these new online speakers that have an AI assistant inside. So that shows you the variety of things that are bought.
2. Why do you think online shopping has become so popular nowadays?

Personally,I think the main reason why it is so widely used these days is simply that it's easy. I don't need to go to physical，brick-and-mortar stores(实体店)to hunt for a new outfit when I can simply sit in my own living room and find it on my smartphone， or maybe my computer. It takes a lot of the grind(苦差事)out of shopping, but also some of the enjoyment.
3. What are some possible disadvantages of buying things from online shops?

I think some of the main drawbacks of online shopping that I have experienced is that firstly,you cannot touch or feel, or even properly see the items that you want to buy.What looks fantastic in the picture, when it arrives,occasionally just isn't the same and doesn't look nearly as good.Secondly,for me is the time it can take for goods to arrive.If I go out shopping with my friends,I can purchase these things and take them home on the same day, with online shopping it can take anything up to a week to arrive.With new purchases,especially if it's something I really,really want,I'm just not that patient.
4.Why do many people today keep buying things which they do not need?

To be honest,I'm not really sure. For me,I don't really buy anything that I don't absolutely need. I'm not into superfluous objects. I've heard of an expression,"Keep- ing up with the Jones."Maybe they're just trying to do that and attempting to show off their wealth.
5.Do you believe the benefits of a consumer society outweigh the disadvantages?

Wow, that's not an easy question to answer quickly. If I think about it,I'd have to say no; I don't think they do. The drawbacks these days,such as constant intrusive marketing on phones and PCs,together with the lack of privacy,for me weigh heavily on the scales.I believe that more balance is needed,and people should be focusing on what's more important in life,like health and family,rather than making sure you have the latest smartphone before your neighbour.
6.How posible is ito avoid the culture ofconsumerism?

Short answer,not very. That culture is everywhere and, in my opinion, only getting worse.I suppose it depends on which country you live in, and what their economic policy is,but for most places around the world the government wants people to spend more and save less. A vicious and unending journey down the drain(变得糟糕)，if you ask me. I think i?'s much better to have something for a rainy day(未雨绸缪)，than not and then get soaked.
